About
OVERVIEW
Calvin represents companies and individuals in high-stakes disputes in state and federal courts. He has successfully tried cases before judges, juries, and arbitrators, and is known for approaching every matter with the discipline, intensity, and strategic focus of a trial lawyer. Whether advocating to a jury, examining a witness, arguing before the court, or negotiating a resolution, Calvin brings command, clarity, and conviction to his clients’ side of the story.
Calvin has a broad and sophisticated complex-litigation practice. He represents clients in business litigation, consumer and regulatory disputes, False Claims Act matters, partnership and ownership disputes, fiduciary-duty claims, contract disputes, fraud, unfair competition, business torts, trade-secret litigation, and defamation actions. His experience includes claims under the Federal False Claims Act, the California False Claims Act, the TCPA, the FDCPA, and state and federal consumer-protection statutes.
Calvin also represents clients in labor and employment disputes, including wage-and-hour litigation, worker-misclassification claims, discrimination and harassment matters, wrongful termination actions, retaliation claims, and whistleblower complaints. He also has substantial experience in collections-related disputes, from pre-judgment litigation through post-judgment enforcement, and has successfully litigated and recovered funds for clients across a wide range of industries and transactions, including healthcare, credit cards, bank loans, and secured and unsecured commercial obligations.
Before founding Love Law, P.C., Calvin practiced as a litigator at two prominent international law firms: Vedder Price (CA), LLP and Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton, LLP.
